This PS5 came in for no power. We injected voltage onto the main power line, and then using our thermal camera, found a capacitor glowing - indicating a short circuit. If a shop does not have such specialist tools, they may very well tell you your console is unrepairable - when it really isn`t! #ps5 #boardrepair

This gaming MSI laptop came in with display issues. Unfortunately, MSI are quite poorly built and in this case it was a graphics card failure that was causing the problem. Although the GPU cannot be replaced, we managed to remove the drivers and prevent them from being installed again allowing the customer to use their laptop as normal.

This Mac wasn`t booting to macOS. The WiFi/Bluetooth chipset had failed. Rather than replace the entire chip, we carefully removed the top of the chip by drilling away at the material. (See picture 2 with the image transposed)

This Mac wasn`t booting to macOS. The WiFi/Bluetooth chipset had failed. Rather than replace the entire chip, we carefully removed the top of the chip by drilling away at the material. (See picture 2 with the image transposed)
We managed to see inside the chip and find the exact capacitor that failed - measuring under 1mm! Again, we used a ultra fine drill to remove it, removing the short.

It is unacceptable to fit such low-quality parts for customers who could then lose their data as a result, and use hot glue on such a precisely designed machine.

Another shop fixed this iMac before and used hot glue/silicone to reattach the screen, not genuine Apple adhesive strips!
When picking a shop to repair your Apple product, make sure they specialise in Apple repairs so they don’t do a bodge job like this! The official adhesive is specially designed and cut, so that it holds the display securely, whilst allowing the iMac to be opened again for service.

This USB C port was completely ripped off when the laptop was dropped while charging. The customer thought it was a write-off and time to get another one. After rebuilding the tracks on the motherboard, and soldering on a new port, its as good as new and lives to see another day. #soldering #righttorepair

This PS5 came in due to randomly turning off. Like many we have seen, in some cases, standing up the console causes the liquid metal to drip down over time, and cause air gaps between the processor and heatsink. Another easy fix for the bits team. #repair #bournemouth

This PS5 came in for a flickering screen. On this occasion, the HDMI port was OK, but the motherboard was damaged, and the tracks to the port were all ripped off.

Great place for uni students to use for laptops. Fixed laptop same day when fan was buzzing/whirring within an hour. Cost is good, and had quick responses to issue and concerns when using their WhatsApp messaging system

I recently had my 2017 iMac fail. I put quote requests out none replied, only bits. I was told the price for repairs up front. They fitted a new power supply which got it working but found another fault on the motherboard which they fixed. I was kept informed and had explanation of my repairs. This company is great. I dropped my MacBook and needed a new screen started of and messaged them on their WhatsApp link and they gave me costs and explained the process. When I arrived there the lady on the reception was really nice had a small chat and we picked it up later that day and Mac screen is like new really impressed with their services. After shopping around for a reasonably priced MacBook Air screen replacement and receiving several quotes that were far from affordable, I came across BITS through a recommendation on Perplexity.

I had a really positive experience of BITS. I took in my iMac in with a suspected power supply issue, mid-afternoon. The following morning (just 18 hours later) I was contacted to say that the replacement power supply was fitted and diagnostic checks were complete. I went in to collect and was given space and time to start-up and check the computer.

Great job. My daughter had destroyed the screen and chassis of her iPad pro 12.9 and then it stopped working.
